Abstract: In today’s cost competitive environment, organizations are calling for innovation at all levels of the QA enterprise, be it execution, approach to process or even the overall QA deliverable. Delivering more with less, without compromise on Quality, is becoming a way of life for QA enterprises, rather than a requirement. This paper explains the approach and experience of how Swiss Re, together with Infosys Technologies, defined a successful testing organisation that is well equipped to meet the needs of today’s agile and compliant organization.

This partnership which started as a project based service, has today evolved and matured into a Managed Service model. This journey to Managed Service model was executed in a more structured way with creation of reusable frameworks in the areas of Testing Process ,Knowledge management, Test Automation, Testing Tools, Testing Metrics etc..

With this centralised QA organisation along with Managed Services model internal clients are being serviced more effectively and efficiently with the ability to scale to satisfy client requests in time and on-budget. With this setup Swiss Re QA organisation is being able to bring in a cost savings of over 40% over the last 3 years with 97% adherence to Quality, making it a true business partner.
